bikes

I look for bikes on kijiji frequently, here are some I have saved right now. These are all road bikes under $500, I think they're all best suited for the men, but might fit one of you taller ladies.

  1. If you don't have a bike now, don't worry you will just be riding inside for now anyway. Jaime has a tri bike, but Rachel and Karli are just using the mountain bikes with slicker tires on it. Unless you are committed to doing more tris or committed to biking don't spend a lot of money for now.

  2. I like the sites Olivia added here. If you are just starting out (or just had a baby) 35-45 min 5 times a week is good. If you have been working out for awhile go an hour 5 times a week. I would swim twice a week with a swim plan to help you get through and track your progress. The 12 week program in the active.com site is a good start. Just start doing some training now. You will need 12 weeks to be ready and longer than that will be even better. In July we can pick things up for those of you who have been training consistently :)
